Preaching Predestination to New Converts: A Study of I & II Thessalonians
Redeemer Books 2007
Spiral Bound, 8 1/2 x 11 in. size
Study Guide $6.95 each
Leader's Manual $9.95 each

Preaching Predestination to New Converts is a new study of I & II Thessalonians by Dr. De Jong. Organized in twelve lessons, it begins in Acts where Paul responds to the Macedonian vision and journeys to Thessalonica, via Philippi, where he meets those chosen by God to receive the message of salvation. God works in mysterious ways, putting Paul and Silas in prison so that they can minister to the jailor by presenting the gospel in songs in the night. Paul is persecuted, too, in Thessalonica, but remains there long enough to organize a healthy, vibrant church. Then, seeing their persecution, he reminds them that they, too, have been chosen by God to become part of His family.

Redeemer Books 2000
Spiral Bound, 8 1/2 x 11 in. size
Study Guide $6.95 each
Leader's Manual $9.95 each

A thirteen lesson study of many passages in Scripture which articulate the teachings of God concerning the covenant which He made, first with Adam and Eve in the Garden, and then with Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David and all of His creatures. In distinction from some prominent Reformed theologians, this study does not equate the doctrine of the Covenant with election, and asserts that all men, both believer and unbeliever, are under the demands of the Covenant. The Study Guide asks the reader to examine carefully the text of Scripture by answering sundry Discussion Starter questions on each lesson, such work to be done prior to coming ot the meeting or the class. The Leader's Manual offers "Tips for Teachers", "Tools for Teachers", "Text Notes" on every question, and a Glossary of Terms.

Joshua: Vol I Entering the Promised Land
Redeemer Books 1997
Spiral Bound 8 1/2 x 11 in. size
Study Guide $6.95 each
Leader's Manual $9.95 each

A thirteen lesson study of the first eight chapters of the Old Testament book of Joshua. Shunned by many as being too militaristic, this book is a fascinating account of the way in which God led His chosen people over the Jordan River into the Promised Land. Seen against the background of God's many promises made to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, the entrance is all of God's doing, and the battle is His on every front. Remembering that "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" [ II Timothy 3:16], this book comes alive with wonderful, practical truths for the serious student. The leader's Manual is again distinguished from the Study Guide by its inclusion of various helps and "Text Notes" on each question.

Ezra: The Return From Exile
Redeemer Books 2000
Spiral Bound 8 1/2 x 11 in. size
Study Guide $6.95 each
Leader's Manual $9.95 each

In one sense, Ezra is a short, simple history of God's people in the post-exilic period. Following the chronological development of the Old Testament, this book makes an excellent follow-up to the study of Daniel and allows us to see how God fulfilled His promises to bring His people back after their seventy years of exile in Babylon. God's' sovereignty over all of history is beautifully demonstrated throughout this study. Covering the period of time when the Persian Empire controlled the eastern and middle eastern realms, the student will confront a fascinating period of world history often ignored even by secular educators.
